Candy Cane Resists

Another day ... another snow forecast ... another oops not much snow!

D was off school again today because of a forecasted 3-6 inches of snow.  B was off too.  And like the norm for this area our 3-6 inches turned into a few flakes, sun, and a big muddy mess.
I'm waiting for the dreaded "just a flurry" that tends to leave us with a foot or more of snow.

Today's activity was making candy cane resist paintings.  The kids drew the stripes on candy canes with white crayons.  Then they painted over them with liquid watercolors.  The white crayon kept the paint from covering the stripes.  They came out really cute.  D's favorite part was that the paint had glitter in it.

Daddy got in on the fun today :)

Any type of paint always becomes finger paint for S.

Tomorrow we should be back to our normal routine.  Hopefully!!
