Celebrate South Riding 2014

Every year since D was 28 months old we've gone with friends to "Celebrate South Riding."  It's a typical carnival with rides, games, and food.  Last year S didn't get to go because he had a virus.  So this year was his first chance to ride the rides.  He loved it!!  But he also got very mad because he wasn't tall enough to go on the really fun rides.

D had been talking all week about riding the motorcycles.  She said she'd have to ride twice so K could be in the front once and she could be in front once.  She then said she'd "even let K go in the front first."

There were 3 separate rides on the carousel!  Of course both kids had to get an "up, down aminal."

We went on the slide too.  D even went down by herself!  She was sooooo proud of herself for this.

S got to ride in a taxi driven by S and K.  Not too sure how safe it was, but he seemed to enjoy the ride!

What carnival is complete without dragon rides?  And after you ride a dragon you MUST have lemonade!!  D declared the dragon ride, "not nearly as much fun as when I was 4."

When we asked D what her favorite ride was she quickly responded, "The new ride ... the swings.  I went around and around so fast!  I LOVED it!!"

S's favorite was the train.  D and K were too tall to ride this one!

S even got to ride his first ferris wheel!
