Projects 52 and 365

Image
Project 52, Week 38 - Childhood I had a lot of photos to choose from this week to match the theme.  I chose this one because it shows the love D and S have for each other and how important they are to each others' childhoods. Project 365, Days 129-135 Day 129 - Emerging I took this with my Lensbaby.  I'm still trying to figure out how to use and focus it well.  I like the different area of focus here and the slight starry bokeh I was able to get. Day 130 - Asymmetrical S helped Pop-Pop with making dinner on Monday.  He only has something in 1 hand here making it asymmetrical. Day 131 - Photograph from Down Under Day 132 - Arranged Day 133 - No prompt A silhouette of me in front of the back window.  This was done for Momtographie 2.0. Day 134 - X Marks the Spot I completely lucked out with the light being on the X! Day 135 - Hard Trying to get 3 people to stand together to ...

Bulldozer

Image
Our neighbors gave S a ride on bulldozer their son outgrew.  Yesterday we took it out onto the driveway to play.  S quickly discovered the joy of having D push him back and forth.  Surprisingly, D enjoyed doing this. D took this picture to school today for show and tell.  The letter of the week is N and she said this was a picture of her being nice to her brother. I have no idea what they're talking about here.   It was great to get outside and play after a cold, snowy winter.  It also made me smile to watch them play together.

Helper

Image
B's parents (Nana and Pop-Pop) came for dinner last night.  Nana played several games of Candy Land with D while Pop-Pop attempted to make mashed potatoes.  I say attempted because he had a helper - S.  S's newest thing is he has to be on the step stool or being held while anyone cooks.  He wants to help and see everything going on.  Like usual he insisted on being up while Pop-Pop peeled and cut the potatoes.  He even got to help out!

Projects 52 and 365

Project 52, Week 37 - Patriotism I used some creative editing on Pixlr.com to add more patriotism to this! Project 365, Days 122-128 Day 122 - Cat in the Hat Day 123 - Choose a Favorite My intention here was to focus on the green with gradual blurring toward the orange.  I'm still learning to use my Lensbaby so this didn't come out exactly how I wanted! Day 124 - No Prompt Oh look ... more snow! Day 125 - A Story in Three Playing Ring-A-Round-The-Rosie and using my interval timer! Day 126 - Muse (Inspiration) Day 127 - Frustrated Day 128 - Drive More playing with my Lensbaby to focus on one object.

Puzzle Time

Image
S has never been into the puzzles we have.  He likes to dump them out then walk away.  Until today he showed no interest in putting them together.  This morning while D was at school he pointed to cabinet and said "puzzles please."  So I obliged and took them out, expecting to have to pick them up 2 minutes later after he walked away.  Surprisingly he took he pieces out of two and proceeded to put them back together.  Then he took another 2 and did the same thing.  We ended up doing puzzles for about 20 minutes.  I was pleasantly surprised at how well he could put the pieces in!

Muse ... Inspiration

Image
My photo prompt for day was "muse or inspiration."  I thought long and hard about what to photograph and decided on this ... D (and S) inspire me everyday to be a better mommy, a better person, and a better model of positive behavior.   You'll have to check out the blog on Saturday to see which edit I chose for my Project 365.

Ring a Round the Rosie

Image
D and S LOVE Ring a Round the Rosie.  It is unbelievably cute to watch the two of them sing, go in a circle, and fall down.  Then S will look at D and say "round round again?"  Of course she says "YES" and off they go for more!  I even learned the song has a second verse about cows, buttercups, and standing back up.  Who knew?
