Picture Perfect ... Almost!

We did a bit of this and a bit of that today. First S helped Grandpa plant some tulips on the side of our house.  Despite all of the rain last week, the ground was rock hard! After school D made bracelets and cookies for her class's store today.  They have been learning about economics and earning coins from good behavior.  Today they get to sell and buy various items produced by classmates.  D has an advertisement jingle all ready for her bracelets.  She even took one to her friend yesterday so everyone could see what she would be selling.  She also is curious if she can just earn money then save it instead of buy things.  

Catch lights are the sparkles of light you see in people's eyes in photos.  Yesterday I spent the afternoon outside trying to get some of those sparkles in photos of D and S.  Don't get me wrong, they both have great sparkle in their eyes!  But man is it hard to photograph! I'm not sure if it's because of their dark eyes or I'm not putting them in the right light.  These are the best I could come up with ... but they are cute!

I'm reading a photography book,  The Unexpected Everyday  that has daily prompts to help practice different photography techniques.  Today's was taking pictures of kids' feet while changing focus points on the camera.   Who knew feet could be so cute?!?!

Rub-a-Dub-Dub 2 dirty kids in a tub! A few toys here and some soap there! Washing up without a care!
