Dr. Seuss Day
Yesterday was Dr. Seuss's birthday and yet another snow day. So I decided to pull out some Dr. Seuss books and corresponding crafts for the kids.
First was Gertrude McFuzz where we made birds with crazy blue and green feathers. D put hers in a neat order at the back of the bird. S decided to use just blue and glue them over the bird's eye and beak! Next we did Yertle the Turtle. Both kids loved gluing tissue paper squares to the bottom of paper bowls. However, S did not want to color his turtle's paper head or legs so they are white. D's been reading Cat in the Hat herself and loving it!
