Hungry, Hungry Hippos
If you have kids, or were a kid, you know the game Hungry, Hungry Hippos. We bought this game for D about a year ago. We don't play it very much because -
1. It's loud!
2. It has 20 tiny white marbles to keep track of.
3. It takes forever to set up and 30 seconds to play.
4. The hippos' heads get stuck and D gets mad when her hippo won't eat the marbles.
Yesterday she asked to play and we told her to wait until today while S was napping (see #2 above for the reason). So in true D fashion as soon as he went to sleep she asked to play. Despite all of the negative qualities about the game I did discover a few redeeming ones today.
1. You can practice counting.
2. It makes D happy to play!
3. It makes me happy to play with her!
4. The hippos have crazy names that we laugh at every time.
5. It makes D and I smile!!
I need to work on getting better focus with the tripod and remote. I also need to learn to hide the remote in the photos.
