Coloring

D LOVES to color.  She'll color with crayons, markers, pencils, or whatever else she can find.  She is meticulous about staying neat and choosing just the right color.  I've discovered that coloring is an amazing way to help her calm down after a meltdown.  She'll sit at the table and within a matter of minutes be so absorbed in her picture she forgets what she was so upset about.  It's also a great way to keep her calm on days that are extremely busy or have a late activity.  Tonight she has soccer practice at 7:00 so I sat down to color with her.  She chose the Crayola Color Wonder markers and her Sofia the First book.  So far she's been happily coloring for 45 minutes!
