Friday Fun ... The Frozen Addition

Back in May I saw an ad for Frozen on Ice.  I bit the bullet and bought tickets for D and I to go.  Last night was the big night!  

To say D was excited would be a gross understatement!  She woke up ready to go and was all smiles from that minute on.  She managed to have a good day at school, although I'm sure she asked her teacher a million times when it was time to leave.  She jumped off the bus, ran to the house, and quickly changed into her Frozen dress.  As soon as B got home we left to find dinner and our way to the venue.

 Dinner was a fancy McDonald's Happy Meal and Quarter Pounder.  Then it was to the rink.  There was Frozen EVERYWHERE!!!  D got a flashing snowflake light!


We had a little snafu with our original seats.  The railing and sign above the entrance blocked our views.  Of course this wasn't mentioned when I purchased seats.

 The wonderful man at guest services hooked us up with new seats!

Then the show started.  D was enamored with everything happening.  They had a quick number about love and friends with different Disney characters.  Then they retold the Frozen story complete with all the biggest characters!






This is how D sat the whole show!  It was a magical time!

Great Country Farm

Today to celebrate Spring Break we ventured to Great Country Farm.  We went last year at Spring Break also.  The kids had so much fun, when I asked what they wanted to do this year the first thing they said was "Great Country Farm!"  So we packed up the van with kids and grandparents and off we went. Just like last year, the kids had a blast playing on the slides and bouncy pillow.  Like last year I went down a few slides too.  Unlike last year I paid attention to the "12 and under" sign and stayed off of the bouncy pillow!  The kids also fed some goats, bounced on pigs, climbed on a bunch of wooden obstacles, and tried out the rope swing. And of course, no trip is complete without a little gem hunting! Last, but not least the kids rode the cow train.  S was till upset we didn't do this last year.  He definitely enjoyed the ride more than D!

Happy Easter

I hope you and your family had a wonderful, happy Easter!  Ours sure did!!!!   We started the fun on Saturday evening by decorating Easter eggs.  We managed to spill 0 cups of egg dye and I only cracked 3 eggs while boiling them.  As you can see, egg dying is a serious and thought provoking experience in our house. The Easter Bunny left baskets on the table and hid eggs downstairs for the kids on Easter morning.  The baskets had an art book, a book to read, Mad Libs, Tsum Tsums, one small toy, and some chocolate.  We spent the afternoon with family having another egg hunt and dinner.  It was a great way to spend a warm, Easter Sunday!

Here Come the Police!

Like most little boys, S is obsessed with anything that moves, makes noise, and has buttons.  I guess that's why one of his favorite toys right now is a remote control police car he got from my parents.  He drives around, where he wants it to go.  Although he does point the control backwards most of the time so when he pushes the reverse arrow it actually goes forward.  When it drives it makes siren noises.  Plus it has buttons on the car and the remote to push.  What more could a three year old boy want from a toy?!?!?
