Water Water Everywhere!


The OCEAN!!!  By far the best part of our trip ... it's beautiful, relaxing, and just makes me happy.  Plus it's hours of endless fun for the kids!

 D LOVED everything about the ocean.  Our last trip she was very cautious about it.  This year she ran right in.  As you can see she put her face in, jumped in the waves, and even rode a boogie board.  We warned her ahead of time not to open her eyes in the water (she does that at swimming lessons) and it's a good thing!  She excitedly rode the boogie board pulled by Daddy and Grandpa.  There were a few wipeouts but she got right back on and tried again.  Such a change from the last trips.





S also enjoyed the water.  When he saw the ocean for the first time he screamed "BATH!"  From there he just ran to the water whenever we got on the beach.  Like most toddlers he liked when he had a big hole with water to splash in.  He also liked to get the coffee can to play with.  He'd point to the ocean, have somebody fill it up, and then dump it in the sand.  This game could, and did, last for hours.  



Looks like we have 2 ocean fishy in our family!!

 I even put my toes in the ocean too ...

Great Country Farm

Today to celebrate Spring Break we ventured to Great Country Farm.  We went last year at Spring Break also.  The kids had so much fun, when I asked what they wanted to do this year the first thing they said was "Great Country Farm!"  So we packed up the van with kids and grandparents and off we went. Just like last year, the kids had a blast playing on the slides and bouncy pillow.  Like last year I went down a few slides too.  Unlike last year I paid attention to the "12 and under" sign and stayed off of the bouncy pillow!  The kids also fed some goats, bounced on pigs, climbed on a bunch of wooden obstacles, and tried out the rope swing. And of course, no trip is complete without a little gem hunting! Last, but not least the kids rode the cow train.  S was till upset we didn't do this last year.  He definitely enjoyed the ride more than D!

Happy Easter

I hope you and your family had a wonderful, happy Easter!  Ours sure did!!!!   We started the fun on Saturday evening by decorating Easter eggs.  We managed to spill 0 cups of egg dye and I only cracked 3 eggs while boiling them.  As you can see, egg dying is a serious and thought provoking experience in our house. The Easter Bunny left baskets on the table and hid eggs downstairs for the kids on Easter morning.  The baskets had an art book, a book to read, Mad Libs, Tsum Tsums, one small toy, and some chocolate.  We spent the afternoon with family having another egg hunt and dinner.  It was a great way to spend a warm, Easter Sunday!

Here Come the Police!

Like most little boys, S is obsessed with anything that moves, makes noise, and has buttons.  I guess that's why one of his favorite toys right now is a remote control police car he got from my parents.  He drives around, where he wants it to go.  Although he does point the control backwards most of the time so when he pushes the reverse arrow it actually goes forward.  When it drives it makes siren noises.  Plus it has buttons on the car and the remote to push.  What more could a three year old boy want from a toy?!?!?
