Projects 52 and 365

Project 52, week 31 - Bokeh

 Bokeh is that beautiful blurry background and foreground you see in professional photos.  I learned how to create this in Momtographie last Spring.  I was glad to see this as this week's topic for Project 52.  I was pleased to see this photo had the bokeh in the front instead of the back!

Project 365, Days 80-86

 I continued using the prompts from Capture Your 365 for this week's photos.  I also tried to continue incorporating play and activities with the kids.  
Day 80 - Abandoned
Toys played with for 5 minutes then left where they laid.

Day 81 - Upset
S couldn't have another cupcake!

Day 82 - In a bowl
Fishy crackers for snack

Day 83 - Eight
After searching all day for an 8, D ran upstairs and brought down her Lego booklet.

Day 84 - I didn't use a prompt but loved this photo of D.

Day 85 - Fresh air
After snow, cold weather, and wind we finally go out to play!

Day 86 - Caring
12 of the 14 kids in D's preschool class came to celebrate her birthday with her!  What a caring group of kids and parents.

Great Country Farm

Today to celebrate Spring Break we ventured to Great Country Farm.  We went last year at Spring Break also.  The kids had so much fun, when I asked what they wanted to do this year the first thing they said was "Great Country Farm!"  So we packed up the van with kids and grandparents and off we went. Just like last year, the kids had a blast playing on the slides and bouncy pillow.  Like last year I went down a few slides too.  Unlike last year I paid attention to the "12 and under" sign and stayed off of the bouncy pillow!  The kids also fed some goats, bounced on pigs, climbed on a bunch of wooden obstacles, and tried out the rope swing. And of course, no trip is complete without a little gem hunting! Last, but not least the kids rode the cow train.  S was till upset we didn't do this last year.  He definitely enjoyed the ride more than D!

Happy Easter

I hope you and your family had a wonderful, happy Easter!  Ours sure did!!!!   We started the fun on Saturday evening by decorating Easter eggs.  We managed to spill 0 cups of egg dye and I only cracked 3 eggs while boiling them.  As you can see, egg dying is a serious and thought provoking experience in our house. The Easter Bunny left baskets on the table and hid eggs downstairs for the kids on Easter morning.  The baskets had an art book, a book to read, Mad Libs, Tsum Tsums, one small toy, and some chocolate.  We spent the afternoon with family having another egg hunt and dinner.  It was a great way to spend a warm, Easter Sunday!

Here Come the Police!

Like most little boys, S is obsessed with anything that moves, makes noise, and has buttons.  I guess that's why one of his favorite toys right now is a remote control police car he got from my parents.  He drives around, where he wants it to go.  Although he does point the control backwards most of the time so when he pushes the reverse arrow it actually goes forward.  When it drives it makes siren noises.  Plus it has buttons on the car and the remote to push.  What more could a three year old boy want from a toy?!?!?
